From the creative but extremely wacky mind of Jhonen Vasquez comes his first animated television show, Invader Zim. Vasquez’s works includes the comics "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac", "I Feel Sick", and "Squee". He is a producer, writer, producer, production designer, and sometimes he can be heard in a few of the characters during an episode. He’s known to voice Minimoose, Zim’s Computer, as well as a wide variety of others in the series.

When an Irken invader named Zim haphazardly ruins the plan for galactic conquest, aka Operation Impending Doom I, the Irken leaders, Tallest Red and Tallest Purple, banish Zim to Food Courtia to serve food for the rest of his life. When Zim catches word of a new conquest, Operation Impending Doom II, he escapes from Food Courtia to help the Tallests and other invaders. The Tallests, who were as shocked as they were angry to see Zim, send Zim on a "special" mission to an uncharted area of the universe to conquer a planet. After receiving a dysfunctional SIR robot, namely called GIR, as a companion to help him take over the world, he sets course for the planet Earth.

Dib, a paranormal obsessed Earthling, picks up the message of the impending doom and knows that an alien will be coming to take over Earth. He tries as hard as he can to warn his family, sister Gaz and father Professor Membrane, and any one else he can find, but no one believes him. He now realizes that the only person that can try to stop this alien is going to be himself, although he’ll still try to make the others believe in him.

Zim finally arriving on Earth, disguises himself as a normal little boy and disguises his robot GIR as an Earth dog, and goes to Skool to learn more about Earth to find the best way to take it over. It just so happens that Dib is in class with Zim and tries to stop Zim by any means possible. From robotic bees, to Godzilla like hamsters, and to old alien grudges, Zim has a challenge ahead of him. Can Zim conquer Earth? Can Dib stop him? Can GIR have as much fun a barrel full of monkeys? Watch Nickelodeon’s "Invader Zim" to find out.
